Aviva Damania is a Psychologist – Mental Health Specialist, trained at City, University of London (MSc. Mental Health). She was awarded an EU Scholarship and a representation award from the Dean of the University.
Aviva’s earliest experience of mental health counseling begun in 2014 when she started to volunteer as a counselor at charities/NGOs in Mumbai. She did this alongside her Bachelors in Psychology from Mumbai University, after which she began work at Masina Hospital, one of the oldest hospitals in Mumbai.
Aviva continued her education shortly after and acquired an MSc. in mental health from the renowned City, University of London. She has worked at Pittie Group as an in-house counselor with the exact designation of Sr. Manager – Corporate & Employee Wellness and was a part of the leadership team.
Aviva has experience with adults, adolescents, and children. Her primary areas of expertise are depression, anxiety, anger, stress among other issues. Aviva has been featured in The Indian Express, MidDay, 94.3 RadioOne, Parsi Times, and on The City University of London’s page as a successful alumnus.
During this Pandemic Aviva has been working with the Mumbai Police to train female constables in counseling. She also counseled the Police affected with Coronavirus after receiving a personal invitation from the Joint Commissioner of Police, Mumbai.
Aviva is also the founder of The Mind Essentials, a platform for online counseling and mental health. She has a group of psychologists working under her and is in the process of expanding her team and services.
